"Guess what? Yesterday, Daddy told me something very important. He told me that he and Mommy were going out right after supper--and Sarah was coming to babysit."

So begins our protagonist's campaign to keep her parents at home. A stomachache, a scary storm, and even the threat of a moose tramping through the house aren't enough to change their minds, and Mom and Dad leave when Sarah arrives. Her young charge pouts, until Sarah turns things around with pizza and nail polish. This book teaches our young ones that having fun--preferably with someone silly--can keep fear at bay while Mom and Dad are away.
