Take your child on a journey to West Africa with African-American Heritage. This enjoyable, educational video celebrates the traditions and history of West Africa, the ancestral homeland of many African-Americans.
Your journey begins with music and images of Africa’s diverse peoples. You’ll see African adults and children going about their daily lives—hauling water, carrying baskets of food on their heads, going to school; and doing crafts. You’ll also learn about elephants, Anansi the Spider, and even learn some words in Yoruba.
African-American Heritage will appeal to kids of all ages. Even my 15-month-old enjoyed it. The video is a must for African-Americans—and for all children who love to learn.
