Those of us who adopt toddlers have to hit the ground running. We often miss out on early playground conversations and don’t have the luxury of growing up with our children from infancy. Adopting a Toddler is a great resource for expectant parents to read while awaiting the arrival of their toddler. It offers helpful tips on how to prepare your home, what you will need when your child arrives, and what to look for when selecting pediatricians and child care. I found the book easy to read and easy to use; each chapter contains helpful lists, and the resource lists provided are comprehensive. I wish I had had this book when adopting my toddler (now seven years old).
